Dr. Arushi Terway directs NORRAG’s portfolio on Private Sector Engagement in Education, which includes innovative financing, philanthropy and education, public-private partnerships, and private sector support for the Right to Education movement, with a focus on socially responsible private sector engagement in education. Recently, with the NORRAG team, Dr. Terway has been conducting case study research on experience with the utilization of innovative financing mechanisms in the education of marginalized communities in developing countries. She has also co-edited a book on global trends in philanthropy in education bringing out the experiences of a varied group of stakeholders in the global South. For over 15 years, she has worked on education policy, planning, and development global organizations like FHI360, Global Partnership for Education, Open Society Foundation, Results for Development Institute, SDC, and USAID. Her analytical and research work involved education finance, innovative finance, comparative analysis of education management policies, secondary education models and youth development. She holds a doctorate in education from Teachers College, Columbia University and an Ed.M. in International Education Policy from Harvard Graduate School of Education.
