Scope: Effective teacher policy and structure are vital for the reinforcement of the roles and performance of teachers in the education system. They ensure that teachers will be able to perform their duties and tasks to provide quality teaching with healthy lives and well-being. This session gives an overview of the teacher system and policies that are specifically developed to support teachers of marginalized children. Various aspects of teacher educator’s strategies will be taken into consideration, such as teacher recruitment and deployment, salaries and additional incentives for teachers in remote areas or teachers of students requiring special attention and care. This session is suitable for policy-makers, government officials and teacher educators.
