Scope: As a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic, governments are presenting new measures by ensuring that the missed opportunities for learning does not increase the  already existing disparities within the education systems especially for the most marginalized and disadvantaged. It is important to consider the challenges on equity and lessons we can learn from the already existing global crisis. This session will take into consideration the policy framework for school re-opening amidst the global crisis, issues related to access and the digital divide, and teacher preparedness.
