Founder and Managing Director Organization: School of Changemakers
In 2003 Phonchan co-founded a local non-profit in Bangkok to support young people to start projects or businesses that address their communities’ needs with seed grants, training a nd mentorship. Next, in 2006, she joined Ashoka (ashoka.org) to run a similar program called “Youth Venture” in Thailand with the aim to continue to increase the number of young changemakers and set up systems for long-term support. She also launched other initiatives to promote social entrepreneurship among non-profits and business in the region.
In 2017 Phonchan spinned off from Ashoka under the name School of Changemakers to build support systems for changemakers in Thailand by running social incubation program and providing consultancy and training services for universities, schools, non profits and companies.
